121.
sad-AbhAso jaDa iti cid-AbhAsaz-cideva hi / sad-bimbastha-cid-AbhAsAd-Anand-Anubhavo bhavet //
The reflection of Existence
is inert matter. The reflection of Knowledge is Consciousness itself. The
experience of happiness comes from the reflection of Consciousness located in
the original Existence.
122.
manovilAsa ityeva prapanco vIkSyatAmiha / svajyotiH pUritAdhIzca
pUrNa-jyotir-mayIm bhavet //
The universe must be seen as the expansion of the
mind. It is the Effulgence of the Self that fills up the intellect and makes
the entire universe full of the Light Supreme.
123.
dRzye jagatyAtma-tatvaM pazyed-anugataM sadA / nitya-bhAna-svabhAvo’haM
yathA sUryAdayas-tathA //
The visible universe is
nothing but the Glory of the Self pervading it always and everywhere. I am the
eternal Light whose nature is to throw light everywhere, just like the Sun.[1]
124.
dRzyeSvadRzya-rUpeNa sthitazcarati sarvataH / draSTur-dRzya-samAyogAt
pratyayAnanda-nizcayaH //
Among the visible, it
permeates as the invisible. It is the association between the seer and the seen
that brings about
the confirmation of the idea
of Bliss.
125.
atasmin yan-nigUDazca tajjyotis-sevyatAM sadA / dRzya-jAtaM vRzcanArhaM
vRkSam-ityeva bhAvaya //
What is hidden in the
non-Self is the Light of the Self. That has always to be propitiated. Know that
objects are like a tree which is subject to destruction.
126.
svAhAkAreSu yad-bodhaH dRk-sphUrtiM janayatyapi /
dRk-tatva-sthApanaM kRtvA svAtiriktaM
vilApayet //
The pronouncement of the
word ‘svAhA’ in rituals arouses the Spirit of the Seer in us.
Establishing the supremacy of the Seer-principle, one should consign to the
flames all that is other than the Self.
127.
dRSTisRSTiH sRSTahomaH pratyakSam anu-bhUyate / dRSTi-kSaNe
yad-udbhUtaM svapnavac-cApi hIyate //
Creation by Seeing is the
oblation of the explicit in the fire (of Creativity). What arises at the moment
of seeing is forsaken, like a dream.
128.
japa-homA-rghya-dAnAdau dRGmAtraM hi dhruvaM mahaH / dehasyA-piha
dRGmAtra-sphUrtir-evA-nubhUyate //
japa, homa, arghya, and dAna – in all
these the main motor is the Seer. The very body manifests the presence of the
Seer only.
129.
kArakAdy-anga-vastUnAM sthAyitvaM kSana-mAtrataH/ karmAvasAne samskAra-mAtrameveha
zrUyate //
The longevity of the
accessories of action is only temporary. It is said: What subsists after the
finish of the action is the imprint of the action.
130.
dRgjyotiSyeva homaH syAt tadekaM cAvaziSyate / etad-arthaM cAgnikAryaM
vihitaM ca pade pade //
The oblations to the Fire
God are all really unto the Fire of Knowledge; because Knowledge is the only
thing that remains as substratum. All rituals pertaining to the Fire-God are
intended only in this way.
131.
JAna-siddhir-bhavaty-eva dhUmaM sarvaM vyapohati / aJAnAnjali-dAnena
bodhyate tarpaNAdiSu //
When Enlightenment dawns the
smoke of Ignorance vanishes. The water-oblations in the form of a tarpaNa teach
us to offer the Ignorance in us as an oblation.
132.
ekA dRSTiz-candra iti gurur-ekA budhas-tviti / dRSTir-ekA satI bhinnA vividhA ca ghaTAdiSu //
The One Unique Vision is
spoken of as belonging to the Moon-God, to Guru to Budha and so on. It is the
One Vision that manifests as the multiple world of pots and pans.
133.
yatizcoro nRpa iti veSamAtre pratIyate / vastutas-tveka-purushaH
vividhaM ca vivartyate //
The same individual appears
in different guises, once as the renouncee, again as the King and again as the
thief. In reality there is only one person.
134.
yaticorAveka-kAle na dRzyete kathaMcana / yato vastu-dvayaM nAsti eSa deva iti zrutiH //
The renouncee and the thief
are never seen at the same time. There are no two things; there is only One.
Such is the declaration of the scriptures
135.
jyotirmayaM ca vastvekaM dhiyA draSTuM hi zakyate / eka-jyotir-na
dRSTaM cet anekaM dRzyate khalu //
The Effulgence which is one and unique can be seen
only by the eye of the intellect. If one does not see the One Effulgence then
indeed the world of multiplicity
arises.
